this looks so neat! I don't have a printer so image editing software it will have to be (though I've been spoiled with how easy it is to use the Thinky Dailies interface)
Wow, this is super cool!

the lesson of the day is that I should not vacuum because if I don't use my vacuum then surely it cannot break

I especially enjoyed the part where the article talks about the curse - it was articulated in a way that really ties the point home

First piece of 2026!
Fan art for the game Blue Prince

I've been playing it during my holiday break, and I've been obsessed with it ever since. It has everything I love: an old (seemingly) sentient house, puzzles, symbolism, exploration, mystery, and layers and layers of lore.

I recently bought a new winter jacket and the most novel thing is that I can lose track of my phone in my pockets even with a toque and mittens in them. imagine having that much pocket space everywhere

Level one of understanding Hornet's characterisation in "Silksong" is picking up on the fact that she thinks many of the monsters she faces are cute.

Level two is understanding that this appreciation for their cuteness does not in any way diminish her enthusiasm for killing them with chainsaws.

what I love about the internet is I can search "how to put a tape measure back together again" and I can get a detailed video on instructions that I can follow along with and am left with the theoretical knowledge of how to do so

I just started playing Tears of the Kingdom and I think I can fit so much crime in this game - it will be delightful.

⚠️ TR-49 -- an archive of books that don't exist ⚠️

We began investigating through a simple prototype - before we built the machine.

The "game" has moved far, far beyond this now. But the old prototype is "playable".

You may find it revealing.

I'm trying to figure out who is more confused: Beat or me? can't wait to figure out more about this game's story but also to chase those sweet high scores in arcade mode (okay so I failed Om and On on normal - it's fiiiiiiiiiine)

temperatures are set to go to -25°C this week and so I have (extremely begrudgingly) (under loud protest) resubscribed to my car's remote start functionality. I cannot begin to articulate how utterly disgusted I am at having to subscribe to access a feature that my car has.

just two-cycled my store trip since I left my phone (which is now my primary payment method) in the car and right as I went to get the phone I realized I had the physical card with me the whole time 😅

I finished Possessor(s) on stream yesterday and the story it told and how it was told was well done. Although I think the map could use some improvement, the gameplay was solid and enjoyable. Glad to have played!

Today is the day to tell a strange story.

The long version we'll tell later, but the short version is this. In an attic, in his late great-uncle's house, @jon.inkle.co found a locked trunk. It took twenty years to open. Last summer he did.

Inside was a wiring diagram, and a stack of books.

the problem with me being in Japan is that I am a cute-things-inclined, anime-watching person who happens to adore Japanese food - it's been so hard not spending all my money on Sanrio and pokemon and Ghibli merch while eating my way across the cities
