Yesterday would’ve been a great day to impeach Donald Trump.

But today’s also good.

After today, if you’re not actively working to impeach Trump and Hegseth, you are doing it wrong.

The #Svengoolie gang keeps telling me Amityville 3-D is terrible. But I think it’s got a lot of potential. A real fixer-upper of a film.

Happy 30th birthday to David Bowie's atemporal cyberpunk neonoir murder mystery concept album— an amazingly deft exegesis of the early dream & burgeoning pre-millennial zeitgeist nightmare of the mid-late 90s internet; an album which also somehow proves more prescient by the day.

One of my favorite Minnesota Historias ever is now on YouTube. We interviewed an eyewitness to the arrival of the Leif Erikson Viking ship in Duluth in 1927. You read that right. Lilly Haldorsen was there 98 years ago, at the age of 10!

When Donald Trump was seven, his older brother Fred dumped mashed potatoes on his head to stop him from being such a bratty little turd.

I think about this every day.

This mf’er is a hugely unpopular lame duck and people and institutions with actual power are out here acting, for eight months straight, like he’s some goddam immortal emperor. Fuck that noise.

When Terence Stamp died, I wondered whatever happened to my Richard Donner cut of Superman 2. I need a better system for tracking DVD loans.

TikTok misusing our personal data is bad.

Selling TikTok to a Trump-aligned billionaire family and one of his biggest political donors is even worse.

Marge Gunderson is so kind to everyone. Even when they're snippy with her. Or lying to her. Or awkwardly hitting on her. Or engaging in shoddy police work. That's what hit me after I rewatched Fargo last night. She's 100% the hero we need right now.

Currently obsessed with Ginger Rogers movies. Unfortunately, there aren't a ton of them streaming right now. But fortunately, there are a ton in my VHS collection. Physical media wins again.
