One philosophy is: "What if the roster rules don't apply?"
MLS is such a unique league in how a roster is constructed. On Saturday, we have two teams competing for MLS Cup that are not the same by any means. Two different roster builds, two different philosophies, and two different stars.

This is how they were built:
How They Were Built: Inter Miami & Vancouver Whitecaps
How were the two MLS Cup finalists built? Almost completely opposite

It is ABSURD to me that the San Diego Wave and NC Courage had Jaedyn Shaw and said nah, we dunno what to do with her.

College football? MLS playoffs? No. We are watching a sporting event that’s more compelling: Captain Tsubasa

The death of browsing is part of the reason art is the way it is now. Our opinions are largely fed to us by algorithms. Spending a spare 15 minutes wandering around a bookstore or comic shop or video rental place was how you found stuff you wouldn't ordinarily pick up and thereby expanded your taste
Bookselling is like the most "people go to the store and buy what looks cool to them without a particular agenda" type business left, and your purchases have a huge influence on what is ordered, what is displayed, and what is recommended.

Did Seth Moulton get visited by three ghosts sometime in the last month?
Strong message from Congressman Moulton:

“Mark my words: It may take some time, but Americans will be prosecuted for this, either as a war crime or outright murder.”

Any move that might result in Malonga sacrificing minutes would be a mistake. Let Nneka walk. She's gonna get a big contract at age 36. Keep Ezi, because she doesn't need a lot of the ball and is almost entirely a defense-first player.

I finally tracked down a pair of datasets and put them together. This is Deloitte’s 2025 valuation of the wealthiest clubs in Europe, and Forbes’s 2025 valuation of NWSL.

Kansas City Current’s estimated annual revenue is bigger than Barcelona & Chelsea combined.

I read this in a job posting and ... NOPE. Admitting this in your description of a role means the culture is broken: "An exciting startup culture – wear several hats, and occasionally work long hours, during evenings, and/or weekends."

As a Seattle fan, I will always be in favor of some team I dislike hiring Caleb Porter. He’s a genius. Can’t pass up a coach like him, really.
I have a potentially hot take: I do not think the Columbus Crew manager position is a top job in MLS. Definitely upper half, but not in the top 5. Very fascinated to see who gets it. I heard Caleb Porter is available.

Statue should already be in the design phase so it can be ready to be unveiled the moment she retires. What a legend of Seattle sports
Jess Fishlock, the last one-club #NWSL original player, is back for a 14th year in Seattle. She told @espn.com:

"From the moment I moved here, I don’t think I’ve ever wanted to leave. I’ve wanted to build my whole career here because of the deep meaning that it has for me.”
Wales legend Fishlock extends Seattle Reign stay until 2026
Jess Fishlock has extended her contract at Seattle Reign until 2026.
