Imma go to Del Buono's tomorrow and elbow a 75 year old woman in the face for the last box of chocolate rugelach.
When asked to bring pie, you do what we did in the 80's. We drove to Termini's in Philly, double-parked, then sat in a freezing car for 47 minutes until Dad emerged with pie.

By this arbitrary standard, pumpkin pie is not pie and therefore Thanksgiving itself is a lie.
Quiche is a tart. A pie has a lid

Including eel. Unless The Who lied to me.
The British get it right. 'Pie' is anything enveloped in crust.
November 25, 2025 at 11:26 PM
What about tomato pie?
November 25, 2025 at 11:18 PM
But if I brought chicken pot pie you would have no legal recourse to eject me because we live in a society with LAWS.

And quiche is more pie like than chicken pot pie.
If I ask you for pie and you bring delicious savory custard instead of dessert, you are being ejected. And I'm keeping the quiche.

We live in a society.

Pizza is 100% a pie and also the best pie.
What if you bring a pizza?
November 25, 2025 at 11:10 PM
If so, shame on them for not clarifying. I could have brought some weird fruit pie no one likes anyway. Instead: awesome side dish!
Look at this way, if you told someone you were bringing pie to a dinner, and it was quiche, would they be disappointed?

Is quiche pie?

Voting is necessary, but not sufficient on its own.

We need to support fighters, not folders, in every race at every level. Taking down fascism & oligarchy requires mutual aid, mass mobilization, direct action (ie anti-ICE patrols), targeted pillar disruption *and* voting. Keep fighting back
“Just vote blue in 2026” won’t save us from American fascism. Both parties have been drifting to the right for years. Democrats and Republicans have aligned themselves with corporatocracy and oligarchy, respectively.

Im ready to eat a plate of raw turkey plz.
Keeping Eli out of HOF contention helps my argument that Aaron Fraudgers is also NOT HOF-worthy. Dude got lucky with his single SB appearance/win. He never got back because he always choked in the playoffs.
November 25, 2025 at 10:33 PM
Eli had NO HOF support on the 2007/11 Giants except an aging Strahan in 07. Not many teammates who will ever even make the quarterfinalist stage. It's an argument in his favor. I don't find it sufficient, but it's valid.
A question, most of the HOF quarterbacks have been accompanied by either a HOF receiver or multi time pro bowlers at pass catcher. Should Eli Manning be cut some slack due to not having a Jerry Rice or Michael Irvin? Shouldn’t that enhance the accomplishments of the Mannings and McNabbs?

So you are saying I should not try this new "medium-rare turkey stuffed with macaroni salad that's been left out in the sun" recipe that popped up on my feed?
NEW: AI “recipe slop” is overrunning search and social. Food creators say Google’s AI Overviews and glossy fake food pics are drowning out real, tested recipes — collapsing traffic and setting home cooks up for disaster, especially this Thanksgiving.

This is by far the best approach. You pick your 5 from the 15 (or 25 as of now) available, not from some nebulous head-canon of what you think the Hall of Fame should be.
Im a HOF materialist, unless you're looking at the actual ballot and naming your five guys, you're just talking for the sake of talking. I am eli out right now, because im an OL sicko who wants to make people talk about Marshall Yanda instead.

Hot and horrendously bad, like a turkey that's been in the oven for 24 hours.
Hot take: Eli Manning and Julien Edelman have essentially identical Hall of Fame résumé’s. Either both should make it, or neither

Is there a six-coach trade that makes everyone happy @miketanier.bsky.social?

Sirianni to PIT (won a playoff game since 2016)
McDermott to BAL (fix run offense)
LaFleur to PHI (offensive creativity)
John Harbaugh to BUF (fix run defense)
Tomlin to TB (.500 wins NFC South)
Bowles to GB (blitz more)
Social networking NFL analysis:

Fire Sirianni.
Fire McDermott.
Fire LaFleur.
Fire John Harbaugh.
Fire Tomlin.
Fire Bowles.
Fire Shanahan (after a missed FG in 14 hours)
Fire Brett Veach (next Chiefs loss)
Fire Brad Holmes (next Lions loss)
Oh, and Bill Belichick always sucked.
I'd be curious, what fan bases right now don't want to fire their coach? I'm a Bills fan and every week it's fire McDermott. I'm sure Packers fans want to fire LaFleur, Ravens to fire Harbaugh, etc. Outside of McVay and Reid, who is safe? Maybe Vrabel and Payton (at least until a playoff loss).

Thank you! Imma correct that. (I think my brain got stuck on "four letter name.")
Laiatu Latu, not Paye, had the Colts interception that led to the early TD.
