This is my attitude towards FOSS stuff in general cus I bet some snobby guy would say it made sense because it probably waited until the next keyframe to pause, but then every other video player doesn't care about that because they were made for people who actually want to watch videos

I've been casually watching videos from the op of that gc button post for like a decade and I kinda like him but he's exactly the type that will sometimes have these bizarre takes about how everything in video gaming must be hyper optimised and "dude this would work sm better in vr" stuff

Another point I like to consider is how well do native speakers themselves know the language, like 25% of my daily vocabulary in finnish is not even found in native dictionaries, because it's a gatekept and poorly studied language, it's hard to make material when even native resources are bad...

I feel like it might be the case for spanish and I kinda see how it might be kinda similar for japanese as well cus while there's a buttload of educational material it might be all just intended on how to speedrun to watching anime

Cus learning swedish is mandatory in finland there's a ton of content for learning it as well as school courses (mandatory and optional ones), but I noticed most of it is pretty bad at actually teaching swedish and it's rather all just built around how to bottom line all of the mandatory tests
