It's also just FUN to hack things and cobble random things together in a DIY style! When my group first formed many moons ago we were very strict about games, nowadays we'll bring hacks to a game on day 1 just cause it the idea seems cool. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't!

sometimes I get this big urge to get back into video game level design like I was with half-life 2 but there's generally no games out there for me that feel as good to play as a source engine game
