the best part was how fast it proved that discord is a terrible place for tech support: someone asked a question and they DID get an answer, but those two posts were sandwiched between two other people having an internet slap fight. You'd never find the answer just searching discord

the cynic in me thinks that they made the discord and shut down the forms so that they have a void where all this discontent gets dumped in to, and they can just delete it and leave no trace at any time (unlike the forum which could be archived and searchable)

fun update on the Official Affinity Corporate Discord Server: there is ZERO moderation happening and it has devolved into slurs, insults, and infighting where you can pretty much do and say anything (even saw some straight up links on how to pirate affinity lol) and there is No Mods to stop it

I approached @izzypetersart.bsky.social with a very silly prompt involving BREAK!! with "His Majesty the Worm" (being familiar with both games) and it turned out kind of badass honestly!

The joke here of course is that crossovers have a tendency to step on each other's toes here and again-

An adventurer lurks through a dark, dangerous underworld and her torch goes out - the moment monsters appear to descend upon her in accordance with the rules of the "His Majesty the Worm" tabletop game, it's revealed she's Mariah Doeheart, from the BREAK!! rpg, and she can see in the dark in accordance with those rules.
