Had a very wild train of thought going for this one; an oversized revolver with a basket hilt wrapped around the mech's body.

It's not a combat mech, but designed exclusively for competition shooting (at another mech).

Some guys I was told to share with the class

This is a digital illustration of four stylized mechs. On a grey background, each of them are of a different gradient color, and appear to be of different styles.

The first one is reddish-pink, sports an energy sword and a buckler shield, intimidating pauldrons and is knight-like.

The second one is smaller than the others, green, insect-like, very futuristic. It's standing proud with clenched fist, cannons over its shoulders.

The third one is blue and has bladed feet and two set of arms, one pair holding fans, the other having clawed hands. A lot of tubes and halos frame its members.

The fourth one is more mystical, with a long cape and a flat, hammer-head like head, as well as a strange staff. It is signaling something with three large and flat insect-like fingers.

🤝 one of my fav niche interests irt xiv lore is how the common tongue only really came into prominence 600 years ago so pretty much with any magical art older than that there must by necessity exist spellbooks and incantations in various other languages, even dead ones

Argath aka Algus yells "Animals have no God!!" like a jerk. The original translation of Final Fantasy Tactics is notoriously rough, but I always liked how blunt this line was.

the problem with all the people inspired by Matsuno's games like Tactics Ogre and Final Fantasy Tactics and trying to make their own games inspired by them is that everyone inspired by him is a coward and has no political backbone.
