Was talking to a friend about VILE: Exhumed, and one of the ways I think it works so well is how, despite taking place in a gore fetish horror fandom, the stuff that actually enabled the guy into preying on women IRL is standard locker room misogyny that you'd find even in "vanilla" communities.
