I joined the Green Party and proposed my local Green candidate to run for the council by-election in my ward. He didn't win but it's a start.

I also got to tell Lisa Nandy, face to face, that I support traditional Labour values, which is why I joined the Green Party. That made me feel better. 💚

Good to blame Farage for the dull-arsed, ruinous, tedious failure of Brexit.
Not that good to keep punishing us for that failure, rather than looking to swiftly boost our prosperity by asking to rejoin the Single Market and Customs Union.
But yes. It’s a start.

Starmer and Reeves are expected to argue that if it hadn't been for Brexit this type of downgrade would not have been needed - and cite official figures suggesting that if Britain had not left the European Union the economy would be about £120 billion greater by 2035 than current forecasts suggest.
The message is simple: Farage is ultimately to blame, as the man who delivered Brexit with "easy sloganeering" then walked away from the aftermath rather than putting in the hard yards.
Or to put it another way: Farage, not us, is responsible for putting up your taxes.
The theme will tie to the main thrust of Starmer's argument at conference, that the Reform leader is selling easy solutions that are just a fantasy.

UK exports also grew. By 0.89%.

That's the total. Goods exports were lower in real terms in 2024 than in 2014.

We teach our kids British values:
Democracy.
Respect for the law.
Individual liberty.
Mutual respect.
Tolerance of other faiths.

If Farage doesn't like these fundamental values of his own country, maybe he should "go and live abroad" as he promised he'd do if Brexit was a disaster.

At least one senior Labour official seems to finally remember they aren't in Reform.
The changes won't just harm economy and country, they'll destroy families and force more people into becoming undocumented, leading to more deportations. They need scrapping not pausing.
