#pdx: PassinArt's production of Langston Hughes' Black Nativity is really world class, and the venue this year (Alberta Abbey) is tailor made for this type of production. I got so riled up and even cried a couple of times. VOCAL WIZARDS.

@opb.org 's Think Out Loud rebroadcast this fantastic interview with @staceyabrams.com from the recent Portland Book festival a few weeks ago. WOW- we need to get off our butts and do something about AI regulation. She has a new book called Coded Justice. www.opb.org/article/2025...

I see stuff like this and wonder why media still doesn't get it: There are no relevant parties or factions anymore. "Progressives" are just actual people, masses of us, the unaffiliated everypersons who are listening for someone to stop the madness. No box can hold this; no label can define it.

@oregonian.com has this bizarre ad featuring a GIF of a woman screaming. It's disconcerting to try and scroll the news with it repeatedly coming up. It's really dystopian:

I didn't even know this before today. Pretty sad that often, those who bandy about the word "redemption" are not at all into it unless THEY are the redeemer.
This has not gotten much attention, but it should.

Virginia under Youngkin returned to an insanely harsh system where people convicted of any felony lose their voting rights FOR LIFE.

Dems' win this week mean they'll get to advance a constitutional amendment to end lifetime disenfranchisement.
