<sigh>new insurance cards came in the mail today. Effective Jan 1 my fam is on a high deductible plan. I’m not happy - but I can’t afford to give up an additional $200/month from my meager less-than-state-minimum salary with 2 kids in college & one soon to be. Lucky to be insured but it still sucks.

Observations on Rudolph: If Santa had been just a little more accepting of the red nose instead of laughing at him then the whole mess with his parents & Clarice going missing would’ve been avoided. Do better Santa.

My library consortium holds “mock awards” for kidlit/teenlit every January before the real awards. I’m reading for the Newbery - there’s some great middle grade stuff in 2025. Thank you authors! #librarylife
