so i was playing Endlight for fun on the Steam Deck, got a new ship, and got your "Steam is more up to date" error. So I fixed YOUR problem but there were TWO problems. Thought I had tested all the cases, but obviously not. Should have this fixed in 2 days.

FOUND THE BUG. I wish your best guess was right, because the actual bug is INCREDIBLY STUPID. The code always checks to see if Steam has more progress and if so overwrites local. EXCEPT it does the same for SHIPS. If a Steam Ship has a higher ID than local Steam Ship, Steam "has more progess"

That's extra EXTRA strange. Game automatically saves to your local hard drive and the Steam cloud. They should both be in perfect sync. Even if things get out of sync, code should resend. Thanks so much for the help, this really narrows things down.

Yikes. That's a bug I've never seen - I will investigate later today. I'm assuming you've been switching between a Steam Deck and your computer. Does the Slap Chop remain enabled so you can get it again? Might be a few days before I can release a fix. Thanks for playing and your patience.

Dark (2017, 3 Seasons, German) is a simple love story disguised as an epic. As the story escalates, and ties itself into knots, it keeps circling back to a doomed core. All that noise doesn't matter, it never did. Brilliant, subversive and sad.
