You don't need a car for your grocery run, and your apartment isn't too small for a cargo bike.
Spotted in Karlskrona, Sweden 🇸🇪🚲 Perfect illustration of how one parking spot for cars equals 8-10 spaces for bikes. Imagine #lifeaftercars @thewaroncars.bsky.social
Go to the Netherlands. Hardly any helmets. It helps when biking is a societal norm and not seen as an extreme sport.
Times square should be a pedestrian only public plaza with dedicated and segregated bike infrastructure. Ban the cars.
Now the best bike in the city 🏙️
A dream of mine came true! Nabbed a @muli-cycles.bsky.social in Montreal and brought it back to NYC. Did my first “go skate in Manhattan and bring home some party supplies” trip ❤️

What does everyday urban freedom look like?
Foldable, flexible, fair.
Meet muli – the cargobike that adapts to your life.

Hostile Architecture. Guaranteed a normal bench where someone could actually relax and be more comfortable is cheaper.
railway to hel has a nice ring to it
prohitbition = inbitation 🤣
How many bikes does someone need? Always n+1
Some cities love to show off their bike culture in staged events, but try riding with your family on a normal street. Hostility, honking, no protection. We don’t need hashtags and night rides. We need safe infrastructure. Every day. #cycling #urbanism #mobility
What does it mean to be a “Paris” of something. Well, historically, it's been about the architecture or the arts and culture scene. Today, it could be cities are willing to emulate the City of Love by making the bold choices necessary to become a more livable city. #15MinuteCity #Urbanism #CargoBike
#Paris is rising as a child-friendly cycling city, investing €250M in 180 km of new bike lanes. While Amsterdam & Copenhagen still lead, Paris inspires other metropoles. #urbanmobility #cityforpeople #mulicycles

Remember this picture, & others like it, every time you hear someone in your city say "we're not Amsterdam."

This was #Amsterdam in the 1970s.

Many of the cities we admire made better choices regarding cars in the past. and are still making better choices today.

Better choices instead of excuses.
I love ignoring signs that say cyclists dismount on perfectly usable cycling infrastructure.
tulips are simply glorified paint lines that still do nothing to offer any actual protection to cyclists
Looks like a typical sidewalk in my hometown. There's an ordinance prohibiting it, but it's also not enforced, so no one cares. Then I get yelled at for running in the street because all the sidewalks are blocked 🤷🏼‍♂️🤣
Motonormativity is a disease

Just wanted to point something out: american suburbs + car culture quietly isolate us. You don’t see your neighbors, you don’t share space—you drive alone, live alone, struggle alone. It keeps us in our class bubbles. That’s by design. Capitalism prefers us divided and quiet.
What's the purpose of this test? To show how ineffective flex posts are at protecting cyclists?
The number of people advocating for flex posts is astounding to me, just like the number of people advocating for free parking.
More on the shameful 33rd out of 36 ranking for Kraków on the safety for children and residents for cycling infrastructure, tempo 30kph, and school safety zones. #motonormativity
Które europejskie miasta są przyjazne dzieciom i mieszkańcom pod kątem infrastruktury drogowej? Kraków na szarym końcu rankingu

Kraków, take note.
"Paris added hundreds of kms of bike lanes, expanded bike-share, removed 1000s of parking spots, raised rates for street parking, cut the speed limit to 30 km/hr and banned vehicle traffic around many schools.
You would not be wrong to call it a war on the car. The result is a victory for the city."
What Doug Ford could learn from Paris, the city where car was once king
Instead of joining the Paris-led urban revolution, he is attempting a counter-revolution
