And on one hand, that's language. It changes with time and usage and that's something the linguist in me accepts. I never want to police language beyond calling out actual bigotry and slurs. But at the same time, it's a tool I'm deprived, a way of explaining to neurotypicals that no longer works.

Intrusive thoughts were a way to express things like thoughts of self harm, violence, "call of the void", deeply offensive ideas popping into your head that don't match your beliefs. Now neurotypical people use it to mean they did an indulgence. Even neurodivergent people misuse it.

I don't wanna cause too much grief with this, but this is something that annoys me: co-opting mental health terminology makes it harder for people with mental health issues to express themselves. This, and people saying theyre "OCD" when they're just miffed by disorganization, as two examples

If one looks closely, they can see tiny seams on her skin - remnants of an imperfect guise.

Orsina's silhouette is meant to be arachnid looking with the bits and bobs sharply jutting out of her tatters. Her spider-like theme was weaved into the design - combining rich African inspired garbs with a bog witch's look.

In general, she's meant to be unkempt and moody.

She's gaunt, and very lanky. There is a slight slouch to her posture. She feels languid and famished, but not actively dying. Almost as if that's how she prefers to look.

The seams form particularly visually interesting "panels" to her.

The flats really showcase the variation in values - a valance that was monumentally difficult to achieve with so many hues of purple intertwining.
