Yeah I don't think democrats narrowly lost 2024 because of their extreme leftwing positions.

Yes! This is much bigger than most folks realize. Great to see that voters were paying attention.

Starbucks baristas deserve to be paid enough to afford the basics like food and rent. That's why they're demanding a fair union contract with the staffing, hours, take-home pay, and on-the-job protections they need to do their jobs.

“Sewer socialism, to me, represents a belief that the worth of an ideology can only be judged by its delivery. That means improving the services and social goods that working people experience each and every day.” 🌹

very funny that JD Vance has so little to do with his time that he goes on podcasts to defend 30-year-old men for saying how much they love Hitler
JD Vance dismisses Young Republicans who in a group chat said "I love Hitler" and joked about slavery and rape as "a bunch of kids" who "told stupid jokes" and adds that "most of the stupid things I did when I was a teenager and young adult, they're not on the internet."

ICYMI yesterday:

I wrote about Ezra Klein, Ta-Nehisi Coates, the struggle to define the boundaries of what is acceptable in America – and why democratic citizens have an obligation to hold the line on what we consider beyond the pale.

The hyperbole from right wing influencers is maddening. According to them, all folks on the left think America is the worst in every way and have no rational ideas for how to improve our country.

The Right Wants a Reichstag Fire

The military patrolling in the streets, an assassination, and a movement longing for escalation. America is teetering on the brink.

The MSNBC commentator saying that most political violence has historically come from the left just once again showed how we suffer from failing to learn history. Lynching, pogroms, race riots, the political violence that ended Reconstruction, and against the Civil Rights Movement. Come on.

I guess this has probably already gone viral somewhere but I am simply dying at this picture of a bear that looks like it hired a photographer to do a glamour shoot
I increasingly believe the VAST majority of Americans won't do anything to stand up to these egregious violations of American values. Capitalism, etc. has created a depressingly isolated & self-concerned culture without a semblance of community or solidarity with others.
The precise moment when and where in recent weeks America crossed that invisible line from democracy into authoritarianism can and will be debated by future historians, but it’s clear that the line itself has been crossed. www.doomsdayscenario.co/p/america-ti...
