Baffled the White Sox landed Munetaka Murakami. Equally baffles me they signed him to a 2 year, 34 mil dollar deal. Chi was one of the few teams w/o a glaring hole at 3B/1B w/ Colson Montgomery, Miguel Vargas, & Lenyn Sosa. Appears that Vargas/Sosa will spend more time in the outfield.

NFL writers seem split on the price Indy paid to acquire all-pro CB Sauce Gardner from New York. I think this is a classic case of “really good player from bad team/org/environment isn’t playing up to their potential but gets change of scenery and plays up to their potential”. Indy just got a GUY.

If Shohei Ohtani can hit three home runs while pitching six shutout innings, you can spend a couple of hours marching for democracy.
As a baseball fan, it’s hard not to marvel at Shohei Ohtani. In a NLDS clinching performance against the team with the most wins in the MLB this year, he hits 3 HRs and throws 6 scoreless innings with 10 Ks (only allowed 5 base runners).
He’s like a 3-horned unicorn.
