The restraint compared to the previous album is notable here, feels like it’s trying to be a bit more serious in its composition with intentional touches of their (gasp) deathcore roots, but the blend of stuff happening in this band definitely still hits bleeding edge. Fantastic stuff.

it’s one of my favorites of all time, but i get that. the new remaster is probably the best way to play it but you could always try emulating some of war of the lions if you wanted to try it out.
