I wanted to post about this roughly in a bit as well. The purging of reformists has always been an open secret and petty bickering has always been there too, but smth about this one feels different especially considering that it’s concerning info about the crackdown.

The 40-day mark after a death is significant for Iranians. It was one of the main catalysts of the 1979 revolution and also helped sustain the 2009 and 2021–2022 protests.
Despite the hostile and dangerous atmosphere in Iran, it could still help trigger another wave of protests.

The anniversary is right by the 40 day mark since a lot of the deaths, and while I can't say for certain that something will kick off, don't be surprised if anything does.
Tomorrow is the anniversary of the 1979 revolution and the Islamic regime is doing everything it can to make the event as grand and crowded as possible.
That includes forcing the victims' families to participate in it in return for legal representation, visitation rights, and expedited processing.

Note that what the regime is offering is already their basic human rights and dignity, and should not be bargained over.

I think that was the whole point of the New Zealand story. If there’s no subsidy, farms will be forced to up their productivity, and politicians will be forced to sign more trade deals.
Otherwise, the expensive broken wheel keeps turning indefinitely with money that could’ve been spent elsewhere.
