story to unfold around her. the writing is very lean but gives us some very complete, fleshed out characters, who makes a huge impression thanks to the cast. the performative are very physical due to the spate dialogue, and they carry it off so well. this is going to take a place among my 3/x

effortless too, none of it seems forced. it's a very original tale on the vampire as well. this is no ruthless, dark killer. instead we get a somewhat lonely romantic, lurking in shadows and killing only those who harm others. she's almost a background character, blending in and allowing the 2/x

wow, another one that i hardly commented on because i was thoroughly engrossed from start to finish. this has to be one of the flat-out coolest films i've seen in ages. everything about it just oozes style, from the shot composition to the score to the wardrobe. amirpour makes it all seem 1/x
