Just so's you know it CAN happen: 3 medical appointments this week have all had relatively positive outcomes.
All NHS. Despite the issues, NHS, as a concept, is a zillion times better than private healthcare. Don't bother telling me otherwise.

😡And the one after that.

Solo trip to York Gate Garden, north Leeds today. A small selection of photos. Mild October day. Finished off with cream cheese & chutney & cheese scone. And lovely coffee.

⚠️The writing's on the wall for Thames Water.
Government is stepping up plans for temporary nationalisation. It's starting to look inevitable.

MPs need to pledge that they will 'Make Thames Water Public' & fight against any discounted sell-off back to the private profiteers.

A powerful, and gripping, read. Available to borrow in Leeds libraries. Of course you could buy it if you have the spondulicks.
Is A River Alive? is published today, 1 May.
It’s about the lives, deaths & rights of rivers—& how our fate flows with that of water & always has.
To the people, places & rivers whose ideas run through its pages, thank you so much.
I think it’s the book I’ve been learning to write all these years.
