I have such fond memories of books coming in the mail from the Parents Magazine book club. I particularly loved books about this duck. I remember stressing with him as he thought he was late and the relief of discovering the party was the next day.

I tend to write 1000 to 1500 words in a writing session. I’ve written 7500 words in five writing days so if I can get 25 writing sessions in the next month or two I can finish the first draft of this MG novel. Just mathing to say that I really think I can do this!

I’m over 5,000 words into something new and dare I say I’m enjoying writing in this longer form. It’s got sisters, family trauma, and time travel and the story has been living in my head for over six months. 🤞🏼 I can get it all out and it not be garbage.
