Enjoyed meeting members & campaigning in Blantyre in Scotland with the brilliant @monicalennon.bsky.social. Those I spoke to had a clear sense of how things need to change. 95 year old Helen, who first campaigned for Labour aged 10, should be made an adviser - she’d tell it how it is!

The two child benefit cap is a ticking time bomb on child poverty. Each year another 40,000 children are pushed into poverty by it. We need to act urgently to transform lives and change these statistics. That’s what Labour governments do.

Climate change was responsible for an estimated 16,500 additional deaths in Europe this summer.

Strong leadership and urgent action are necessary with experts advising deaths are "preventable” if countries continue to reduce their emissions and combat climate change.
