My four cats - Scout (black with white bib), Athos (black with white face markings, chest and paws), Katniss (white with black markings), and Hermione (tabby). Hanging out either on the radiator or as close to it as they can get.

My two dogs - George (Newfypoo - half Newfoundland/ half Poodle) and Shyla (has paperwork identifying her as a Husky but we're not convinced!)

A cake I made for my husband's birthday. Chocolate sponge topped with chocolate frosting and a selection of chocolate treats (buttons, Maltesers etc)

'Needful Things'

My husband pestered me for years to read this book. He was convinced I would love it, but I always refused because "King is too scary for me". I finally read it. I loved it.

We put in an application with the Land Registry to change a name on our house deeds back in June this year. Not a complicated issue. Completion date for this has been advised as September 2026!

Had to do the dreaded 8am call to try to get a GP appointment. Phoned on the dot of 8, was 8th in the queue. After 10 mins had moved to 6th. Was gearing myself up for a very long wait, 2 minutes later I was number 1 in the queue! Everybody else must have given up 🤷‍♀️💪

New sink has been fitted. Installer had been gone 10 mins when I realised it wasn't holding water. Again. Called him to ask him to come back and fix it. Told me he'd done everything right, must be a faulty plug, and to take it up with #Wickes. Two sinks with the exact same fault?? 🤬🤬🤬
