In cases where people, like JK Rowling, decry TERF as a misogynistic slur, it is important to remember that TERF is an acronym for Trans Exclusionary Radical Feminism. If someone claims to be a radical feminist and believes that they should exclude trans people from feminism or trans women from womanhood, they are a TERF.
It is not a slur to describe someone how they might describe themselves if they were not aware of the negative connotations. It is simply accurate, and if this term is a criticism or attack to these people, then they should reconsider their ideology. Simply put:
You should not be a bigot if you are uncomfortable being referred to as a bigot.

However, I think it is important to acknowledge that TERFS are not only transphobic. That is an oversimplification that serves to benefit them, I think. Much more than that, they are misogynists who are transphobic because of their misogyny. They are transphobic because they believe that there are set rules every woman should follow, and trans women do not follow these rules.

The TERF ideology comes from misogyny, and I do not think it helps anyone to pretend otherwise. I think it endangers trans women as well as all transgressive women, and I think that if we accept there is a 'right' kind of woman, we open the doors for more women to be killed because they are the
'wrong' kind of woman.

We should also remember the role played by the Gender Critical movement in being actively involved in the removal of women’s rights; all because they see the Christian far right as the way to get rid of trans people from society.

I genuinely don't care what anyone else thinks about anything else, we are in a state of emergency whereby federal law in the USA will cancel women's rights and promote the mutilation of kids bodies. It's coming here too. If that isn't worth setting aside even the right to a legal abortion I don't know what is.

LGB Alliance activist Gary Powell and Center for Bioethics and Culture
Network.
Through his work opposing surrogacy, Gary Powell has ties with religious, right-wing organisations in the US that oppose equal marriage and access to abortion - despite the LGB Alliance regularly claiming not to be connected in any way to the US religious right.
The LGB Alliance's code of conduct states that it will
"not forge links with" organisations "whose aims we consider to be fundamentally hostile to the rights of lesbians, gay men and bisexuals, or that seeks to undermine women's reproductive rights".
The group also regularly asserts on social media that it doesn't have links with, or accept funding from, the US religious right.
But Powell is the European special consultant for California-based nonprofit the Center for Bioethics and Culture Network (СВС).
CBC is a US organisation that frequently appears at conferences and events held by right-wing groups discussing restricting abortion rights.
It was founded by Jennifer Lahl, a non-Orthodox Christian, who also shares LGB Alliance posts on social media and wrote in 2003: "It is the role of the church to be involved in personal and individual decision making.

"disastrous" and calls on "pro-life" Americans to "do everything in our power to ensure that we protect innocent life, especially the unborn".

Appearing recently on the Daily Signal podcast was former Trump lawyer and attorney at the American Centre for Law and Justice Jay Sekulow. The centre's European arm the ECLJ has campaigned against reproductive and sexual rights across the region, including in Poland.
Other guests included Kara Dansky, the self-identified radical feminist who has worked with a number of right-wing anti-gender organisations including Alliance Defending Freedom, Concerned Women For America, and the Family Policy Alliance. Dansky was formerly part of the radical feminist WoLF group which worked with the Foundation and the FPA to author a Gender Resource Guide described by the FPA as part of their efforts "to preserve parental rights and protect children from the dangers of the transgender trend."

I hate to say it but the majority of the country is not going to die on the hill of trans rights. We can’t protect ANY groups if we can’t win a national election, so purity tests only serve to make specific groups feel triumphant. That’s not “erasing” them; it’s long-horizon strategy.

Das ist sehr interessant. Die Mitautorin, #TERFextremistin Rona Duwe, der in D indizierten und von Experten als "Manipulationsanleitung mit schweren Folgen, bis hin zu Suizid" eingeordneten Broschüre möchte also das Verbot von Konversionstherapie bei Geschlechtsidentität streichen lassen.

Beschreibung:
Aus dem Gesetz zum Schutz vor Konversionsbehandlungen sollte "Geschlechtsidentität" gestrichen und der Passus in Paragraph 1, Absatz 3 entfernt werden.
