ORLÉANS
We are enough yet living in the field
To smother up the English in our throngs,
If any order might be thought upon.

BOURBON
The devil take order now! I’ll to the throng.
Let life be short, else shame will be too long.

Walz: "I don't care if you are conservative are flying a Donald Trump flag, a libertarian 'Don't Treat on Me,' a Democratic Socialist -- this an inflection point. If we cannot all agree that the smearing of a citizen and besmirching everything they stood for -- someone has to be accountable."

Minnesota National Guard members have arrived at a federal building and were directed to distribute donuts, coffee, and hot chocolate to anti-ICE protesters. Guard members were issued reflective vests so they would not be mistaken for federal agents.

Update: In the evidence preservation lawsuit, the current Civil Chief at the Minnesota U.S. Attorney's Office (who appears to be Ana Voss, based on the letter), refused to accept email service of the lawsuit last night and then refused to accept in-person service until Monday.

Ridiculous behavior.

NEW: The ICE killing of Alex Pretti, the second in Minneapolis, prompts quick legal action.

After ICE agents killed Alex Pretti on Saturday, lawyers responded quickly — leading to one TRO issued before the night's end aimed at preserving evidence of the killing.

My report at Law Dork:
The ICE killing of Alex Pretti, the second in Minneapolis, prompts quick legal responses
After ICE agents killed Alex Pretti on Saturday, lawyers took quick action in cases challenging the Trump administration's increasingly deadly efforts.

Pretti died after asking a woman he was with if she was OK.

Good died after telling the man who killed her that she wasn’t mad at him.

They not only demand that you see the gun in his hand when there was none, they demand that you see a riot around him when there was none.
BASH: Footage shows him holding a cell phone, not a gun. Did he at any point pull out his weapon?

BOVINO: We do know that the suspect did bring a weapon, a loaded 9mm high capacity handgun, to a riot.

(That's a no!)

Nonviolence is, in fact, working. This administration is weaker than it was a year ago. More and more of the public is becoming galvanized against it; its agents are being impeded.
Do you honestly think people in the civil rights movement and other nonviolent movements faced no violence themselves? They practiced nonviolence because it works, because the oppressor wants a shooting war, which is the war it will win
How's your non-violent working Mr Gandhi stancil? They will kill each and everyone of you right if they had the chance and you will still be writing Kumbaya.

Federal agents killing people in the streets is an assault on the right of all Americans to be safe.

Senate Democrats must reject funding for ICE this coming week and demand an end to this madness.

Doing anything else would be a tacit endorsement of the terror and chaos in our streets.

/6 Watch, as this unfolds, two key things: (1) how blatantly the Gestapo will lie, and demand that you ignore what you can see plainly, and (2) how uselessly, how pathetically, how impotently the media will treat those lies and dither at this murder, craven publicists to evil.

DOJ lies.
DHS lies.
ICE lies.

That has been established. Do not repeat their claims as fact. Their claims are arguments or, often, misleading propaganda — when not outright lies.

They are seeking to make a case for their lawlessness (and to please Trump), not seeking to inform.
