Odd how Seymour Hersh hasn’t commented on the Nord Stream developments, where Ukrainian operatives seems like the likely culprits, considering it was his story about a US-Norwegian conspiracy that put him back in the limelight?

Perhaps because it completely destroys his previous fairy tale?

Try speaking to some Ukrainians, they'll give you a much more nuanced view than Seymour Hersh and his Vatnik friends on Substack.

Trade unionists, left-wing organizations, academics - take your pick. If you truly want to educate yourself about the war, talk to its victims.

Are there still nazis and extremists serving in Azov? Definitely.

But the same is true about virtually *every* military in the world, from the German KSK (which was partially disbanded due to nazi infiltration a few years back) to the US military.

I am not disputing that Biletskij is a Nazi. I am not disputing that Azov was formed as a far-right militia. I'm informing you that the Azov Brigade of 2025 is not the same thing.

I suggest reading some of the work by Viacheslav Likhachev, one of the most prominent researchers on the far-right in 🇺🇦

The Azov Brigade of 2025 is far removed from the ultra right-wing militia formed in 2014. Radicalism researchers like (the Ukrainian) Vyacheslav Likhachev have long since debunked this.

It is being kept alive as part of a Russian disinfo op aimed at justifying the 'denazification' narrative.

Lesson: DON’T disseminate these lies unless you clearly state that this is Russian disinformation. And even then the gains are mostly negligible. Treat it like digital toxic waste.

In this instance it’s Ekstra Bladet who does them a solid by regurgitating Bortnikov’s message, but most media is complicit, hiding under the guise of ‘reporting the news’ (but actually just farming clicks).

They don’t care if most people dismiss this as fiction. All they care about is hooking 5-10 percent, ideally people already prone to conspiracies.

I still have my doubts whether he'll actually go. While Orbán keeps a tight grip on Hungary, it's still a pretty big security risk + there will be large protests in liberal Budapest.

Perhaps he'll just send one of the doubles though.
