ICE detained a Minnesota snowplow driver despite the man having every required federal authorization to work. St. Paul’s public works director Sean Kershaw says he was illegally detained. Now, he’s been sent 1,300 miles away from his family in St. Paul, MN to a detention facility in El Paso, TX.

Volunteers in Minnesota are waiting outside ICE facilities for detainees who are released into the freezing cold with no support — no ride, no phone, no coat. They’re there to make sure people have warm clothes, rides, food, and help calling family or lawyers.

I've heard others say it and I'm really feeling it too. We should definitely embrace the American flag as part of the resistance to fascism and the authoritarian government. It must stand as a symbol of decency and democracy, not what the GOP is trying to rebrand it as.
