I get social media is part of almost any profession now but not sure how people maintain it. Much respect. Authors have to do a lot more than just hone their craft.

Does your query letter answer the following questions:
Who is the protagonist?
What does she want?
What is standing in her way?
What is she willing to do to get it?
What happens if she fails?

Sometimes, you might also need:
Why her? What “chosen one” attribute does she bring to the table?

After months sitting on it & living my best moderate life (I’d keep my job), I’d have planned a surprise trip to a place my family & I have always wished to go. First class, best hotel for our needs and wants, best food. Then just watch my family enjoy a dream we never thought we could afford.

Pay off my debt. Thankfully I’ve consistently paid and significantly lowered it. After that I would take 12 months worth of expenses & have it in my savings as a cushion. The rest might be invested with a balanced strategy making sure I max out my retirement contributions each year moving forward.

I'm proud of THE FORGOTTEN KINGDOM. It's the most multi-layered piece of work I've written. It's also taken the longest time. However, I question if it's my best. The stories based on dreams or jokes might be better since I started after having more writing practice.

I actually haven't queried. I have someone reading the first 3 chapters to see if it's in a good place to start querying, but when I see posts like yours, I get such an itch! 😁

How long should your novel be? I like this guideline from Writers Digest. It uses ranges and gives a good indication of what's realistic. But always use the requirements of the specific agent or publisher you're querying.

Nice, a lot of people enjoy dual-POVs, although they come with their challenges. If it's dual, then his stakes are just as important as hers, so it's good to mention them both. I'm responding based on my thoughts as a potential reader. In terms of a query, it will need additional things like comps.

I'm not a literary agent, & I haven't even gone through my querying process, but I do have some feedback. I think there's a good middle between the two. Gabe's section on pic 2 is better cause it mentions his stakes, whereas Ash's in pic 1 is good for the same reasons. Is this a multi-POV?
