Oh the sweet irony of OpenAI's outrage at having its work nicked.

Baby's latest artwork, 'Snowman Witnesses Brutal Murder'. Couldn't be more proud.

What social media is for.
In 1976, schools show Good Health promoted the wearing of sensible shoes, jokingly introducing the most dangerous children's footwear ever, BLOCKABOOTS! Trouble was, half the young audience immediately wanted a pair (when they weren't singing the absolute banger of a jingle)

Anyone else woken up whistling the theme tune to 'Beadle's About?

(You're welcome.)

We have a properly warped perception of how much various sectors contribute to the UK economy. The fishing industry, which is constantly in the news and to whom politicians of all rosettes regularly play, adds less to GDP than Games Workshop
From the FT the other day. I had no idea.

THIS. This is no “echo chamber”; it’s just people selecting who they do/don’t want to hang out with, like in the real world.
“X” (🙄) has become a curated environment for the promotion of alt right toxicity and the suppression of everything else.

It’s not even an echo chamber, it’s a cult meeting.
Having spent a week or two more full time here, I can absolutely confirm that the real echo chamber is not Bluesky but X. Musk’s platform is roaring cyclotron of hate, gamed algorithms and inauthentic blue ticks. It’s not free speech but ‘paid for’ speech that stops genuine exploration and debate.

Praise for Wet Fish - although, to my deep shame, I cannot confirm this. Watch via linktr.ee/tobywilliams

Joy is on @netflixuk.bsky.social right now. A beautiful and important film. Sadly very timely too as a woman's right to choose is still an issue(?!) with so many still longing for this reactionary, intolerant, glorious past!
