BIG result, folks:

Bucks County, Pennsylvania, was ground zero for the conservative takeover of school boards & anti-LGBTQ policies in 2021, on the Central Bucks and Pennridge boards.

Dems flipped both boards back in 2023.

Tonight, Dems have ousted *all* Republicans from both school boards.

Huge shoutout to @90for90.bsky.social who recruited to give every district a Democrat to vote for, and with @charlesgaba.com raised enough money that the 27 in the most Red districts had at least $5000 to work with.
IMO Jay Jones owes his victory to the turnout their efforts generated.

My guess was a pickup of 9 seats, which was an eye-opening number. Looks like the final count will be 13. But a few of those are in parts of VA that have been very tough for Dems in recent decades. Things are changing rapidly, for sure.

As one of Bill's constituents (and a neighbor), he's dead wrong on this. And I don't think he'll fight too hard for his position if Gov. Moore and the US House delegation push him on it. And if he does, here's hoping Luke Clippinger or Zeke Cohen or somebody primaries him.

I'm guessing some Rs are just being cute, and trying to scare/demoralize federal workers plus it's another bargaining chip for when they do hammer out the eventual compromise CR. But it's stupid. The plain wording of the Government Employee Fair Treatment Act of 2019 will hold up in any court.
