Have a good time and maybe stop by a Tim Hortons and a raise a donut and a cup of coffee for freedom. I haven’t had one since I was last in Toronto on a high school band trip in the early 90s and it was a teenagers dream for food staples. Donut and pizza places all over the city.

Literally at the Doc office now getting the flu shot. Doc will prescribe me the Covid booster if the pharmacy requires it since they don’t have any at the moment.

I also suspect that they have no vocabulary to fill in the spots between "democratic government" and "fascism." Political scientists develop entire typologies of authoritarianism the same way oncologists differentiate and stage cancers. But most folks just assume "fascism" means "not democracy"

I think part of the problem here is that people is emotional linguistics: people think if you are saying it’s not fascism you’re saying it’s not bad. We like to think if something is bad than any word that’s bad should apply to it. Like RICO.

Pretty sure none of us within the USA would be able to freely complain about fascism on Bluesky if we were currently living in a fascist state.

With their over the top responses to non-violent encounters, they appear to be on a mission to discourage future peaceful protests from occurring. Thus they eventually get what they (Miller/Trump) want by ensuring that the only type of protester that shows up are those seeking a fight.

Every few months now I re-read this "Who Goes Nazi?" piece from 1941 and am blown away by how it captures the people we are dealing with 80 years later.

Hmmm, and I can just imagine how little any of this will be examined by Jake Tapper and the non-Fox news media outlets the way Biden was.

As I mentioned earlier, his Trump Social feed has been batshit crazy the last week or so. Is anyone going to say anything about this?

This is especially weird since it's an AI video of himself making a looney promise to create an alternative Medbed Medical system. WTF???

Trump tonight appears to have pushed the false "medbed" conspiracy theory, which has spread in the far-right internet over the years. www.yahoo.com/news/qanon-c...

Having worked on many moons ago the KC/RC-135 variants of the 707 airframe that the E-3 also uses (before engine upgrades) the TF-33 engine is nearly as loud and whiny as Trump himself.

No idea on Quantico where they fit everyone in the same room.

Might as well have been a video teleconference
