I think we need specifically directed actions in certain places

Why exactly are Schumer and Jeffries in office?

I would to see a nationally targeted effort to get those type of dems out of office

How do we do that?
ICE hasn't stopped brutalizing people or shredding the Constitution, it's just that corporate media turned the camera as the call for action got too loud and the Democrats stepped in and made sure the issue got changed.

If you sit for a second, you'll recognize that's what happened with BLM, too.

Abolish ICE and defund police seems like a reasonable alternative. JS
There are first graders learning that state violence can be directed at them. That their lungs can be filled with chemicals designed for warfare (& banned from use in war). That the people who are supposed to protect them can, and will, hurt them if they are told to.

You can’t unring that bell.

Just gonna say it again-

Abolish ICE is a moderate and reasonable position.

Even from the most centrist pundit POV, it's plain to see ICE is eroding trust in law enforcement across tue country. We can't have public safety if we can't trust LEOs.

There's 1st graders internalizing the phrase ACAB

This part. I havent seen much difference in their policies, but people keep telling me Crockett is too ghetto, too loud, too conservative, too anti progressive, as opposed to talarico who speaks well, is professional, and progressive.

Weird, that.

I can't imagine why that would be
What drives me nuts about all of this is that Crockett and Talarico hold basically all of the same positions on issues. They're both pretty standard center-left Dems (Axios, naturally, tries to frame them both as progressives, but lol, come on) www.axios.com/local/dallas...
Crockett, Talarico go head to head — by largely agreeing
Crockett and Talarico are vying for the seat currently held by Sen. John Cornyn, who faces his own competitive primary.

Palantir needs to be obliterated the same as ICE, and Peter Thiel can face the Truth and Reconciliation committee he’s spent his entire life trying to negate.

If we want to fix our country, this is non-negotiable.

Peter Thiel has been open about this for a long time. Trump is a way to break the republic, which can then be replaced by “free economic zones” with oligarchs as dictators and tech as a taskmaster for helpless humans without any rights. (1/2)
Definitely seems like they destroyed the country on purpose.

Just got gassed pretty good at the labor union anti-ICE protest in Portland. Massive march, 5-10k strong. Vibes were very much liberal rather than radical. Lots of kids and older folks.

They gassed the whole crowd as soon as it marched on ICE, in broad daylight.

Do you remember when people were saying "I think my phone is listening to me, i'm getting ads for stuff I spoke about" and people said "They arent listening to you, they're just this good at predicting your interests"?

Well, it happens they were doing exactly that.

Mandelson was Business Secretary at the time.

A year later, he was seeking work with JPM.

If one group captures a radically disproportionate share of growth, others receive less than they otherwise would have, even in a growing economy. This is measurable.

You can have innovation without extreme wealth concentration. You cannot have extreme wealth concentration without exploitation.
There isn't some fixed pie of wealth that billionaires are monopolizing. People who found companies create new wealth, and capture only a slice of that. Imagine how much poorer we would be if iPhones, Google, Uber, Spotify, or mRNA vaccines did not exist. Even Bluesky was created by a billionaire!
