Shot down the lake from the side of my kayak. With dramatic cloudy skies overhead, trees lining either side of the frame around the edge of the lake, and mountains in the background.

Disclaimer: technically Buntzen isn’t a lake, according to some? I have always called it that and always will, sorry not sorry 😌

And was the only flower on the lake. The Lilly pads have little puddles of water on top of them

One of the many old growth tree stumps that stick out from the lake like a monolithic figure, with newer baby trees/plants growing out of the stump. Above it is a dramatic cloudy sky, behind it is nothing but forest lining the edge of the lake. Unfortunately my stupid paddle is in this shot at the bottom but I’m too tired to edit it out right now

The how they look line is a direct quote from U.S. Border Patrol Chief Gregory Bovino. He felt comfortable telling a white male reporter that people were being detained for "how they look"

I think we all know what he meant.

Gregory Bovino, commander at large of the border force, contrasted the people being arrested with a white WBEZ reporter, saying agents consider a person’s appearance before taking them into custody.

“You know, there’s many different factors that go into something like that,” Bovino said. “It would be agent experience, intelligence that indicates there’s illegal aliens in a particular place or location.

“Then, obviously, the particular characteristics of an individual, how they look. How do they look compared to, say, you?” he said to the reporter, a tall, middle-aged man of Anglo descent.
