Not any parents of children with ASN we’ve heard from are positive about the “ additional “ funding to education. More unmet needs, more children and young people missing an education. Who will these parents vote for?

‘A good society feeds its people well’

I talk to Scotland’s inaugural Food Tsar as she launches the nation’s new Food Commission about ‘public food’: the meals in schools & hospitals. She says we must double the money spent if people are to get the food they deserve

Jones has become the very first chief executive of the new Scottish Food Commission

“Perhaps the explanation for the state of the world lies in that monstrous inhumanity. If we‘re incapable of protecting our own children’s future, then what are we? Maybe we deserve this decay?” This.
The Sorrow and the Pity

It is agonising to consider the future we have created for our own children. Each generation always had it better than the last. But that’s no longer true for the young today

We need to ask ourselves ’what have we done?’

I secured a review of accreditation and quality assurance of qualifications as part of the Education Reform Act. This was important to ensure that there is adequate independent scrutiny of how qualifications are managed. I asked the education secretary for an update on this work.

Wishing everyone a peaceful holiday season. We would like to thank all who have supported us and interacted with us over the year. We hope that ASN families have as good a time as possible. We understand what a struggle this time of year can be. Be kind to yourself and others. Merry Christmas 🎄.

In many health boards covering almost a third of Scotland's adult population, the NHS does not offer adult neurodevelopmental assessments. That makes it difficult for people to get the support they need. I asked the government to act more urgently to solve the problem.

ASN parents come from all background and political persuasions. We are watching ALL of the political parties. Our children ARE being routinely failed. And yes we will vote accordingly. So who is going to be honest? ASN kids sitting at home is actually happening. Do something please.
How we’re improving education in Scotland:

✅ Literacy and numeracy at record high
✅ Attendance rising in schools
✅ Teacher numbers rising
✅ Attainment gap narrowing

More to do, but that’s real progress. The SNP will keep delivering progress for Scotland.
