Life is tough at the moment

Both my children struggle to attend school

One withdraws to their bedroom
One runs away & absconds

The latter is a far more stressful experience

Mental health must be spoken about honestly

Across the UK, men are facing a mental health crisis that is rarely acknowledged with the seriousness it deserves.

I had someone tell me that my daughter didn't have "serious" autism

Since she struggles with everyday life, that felt like an ill-informed judgement, reflecting their sense that "there's nothing wrong with her"

What other people see/ experience is her mask. Few see the real person.

Useful analysis of the SEND crisis "Contrary to headlines about SEND doubling since 2010, the overall percentage of children with SEND has not dramatically risen. What has gone up is the proportion of those children designated as needing an EHCP for support."
Are EHCPs really driving the SEND crisis?
Education, health and care plans have been blamed for an unsustainable rise in special educational needs in schools, but would scrapping or limiting these plans fix the problem?

The people involved in these protests are either racists or they're too stupid to know they're being manipulated by racists, and I don't see any good reason to pretend that's not so.

Emmanuel Garcia went missing, and rather than check missing person’s reports, Houston PD called ICE.

ICE sent him to the Office of Refugee Resettlement and his mom has been fighting to get him back ever since.

This will be the focus of our work as we move into election year. We are hearing from parents who are receiving correspondence stating that they took their children out of education when it’s not been the case. The ghost children need representation. Non biased representation, they have no unions.
When a child does not want to go to school, it's important for everyone to try to understand the reasons why and work together towards a solution.

Our pages on #attendance offer advice and practical tips to help support children and young people missing school for a range of reasons.

Neurodivergence is Normal

It's society that excludes Neurodivergent people

Start making room
We oppose cure

To divide us is only an attempt to diminish the force of the argument that we deserve to be here

To allocate and gatekeep resources that many of us need, whether or not you believe us

To try to keep a narrative of our natural neurotype being a plague

it's nonsense
