The unions and guilds of the film industry should riot over the ~2 week window that movies are in theaters. And with the Netflix purchase of WB, you'll be lucky to have one single showtime of a new film in a theater.

With the Netflix acquisition of Warner Bros, we can see that the future of the entertainment industry is going to be AI-generated 8 second long videos of jingling keys.

In 2028 Netflix's first entirely AI movie will win best picture and thousands will go fucking postal.

i will support any would-be tyrant as long as the foundation of their platform is forcing people to drive hatchbacks and station wagons
The station wagon disappeared because it became unpopular.

I took some photos of a local amusement park with my 35mm camera. They came out like literal tangible memories.

Something about taking a picture of a place you spent a lot of time at as a kid with a ~40 year old camera just makes sense.

Thanks to @ageofnapoleon.bsky.social for being a great part of my past year.

According to my Spotify Wrapped, I listened to 713 minutes of the podcast this year. It's a higher number than that, as I've switched to just listening on the Patreon.

To any fan of history, check it out!

Grover Cleveland's last words were "I have tried so hard to do right." Missed the mark!
December 1, 2025 at 5:58 PM
Grover Cleveland was in his day "renowned for his rectitude" but he hired a Polish guy to help him dodge the draft for the Civil War, had a child out of wedlock (with some possibly very dark implications of this relationship), and married a 21 year old (who he helped raise???) when he was 49(!!).

I know you can't really put historical figures to a modern lens of morality, but Grover Cleveland — you missed the mark!

This tired, deeply-damaged man is so needy. He has to have references to him being president on his hat, on his shirt, and on a golf-framed placard next to his overcooked cheeseburger he's almost too-out-of-it to eat.

Grover Cleveland had a child out of wedlock (to say the least). The boy ended up in a place called the Protestant Orphan Asylum. I can't imagine a more depressing name for a place.
