It’s apparently linked to acid reflux which I’ve been struggling with too. Hiccups in the middle of the night, lots of dry swallowing to keep the bile down. Hoping this trip has just been extra harsh on my system and that’s why it happened, but god. Scary shit in the moment

Think I had a laryngospasm yesterday for the first time and that was easily the scariest thing I’ve experienced in a while. My throat just clamped shut, I couldn’t breathe or cough or anything. My wife thought she was gonna have to heimlich me for a min and then it just…. Stopped.
