Trump didn’t read before posting:

“OUR AMERICAN CODE OF MILITARY OBEDIENCE REQUIRES THAT, SHOULD ORDERS AND THE LAW EVER CONFLICT, OUR OFFICERS MUST OBEY THE LAW.”

You can tell who has the upper hand here since Trump is kissing his a—!

Sure is telling that the President considers it punishable by death for people to restate the law.

I urge members of the legal profession to realize that prosecuting individuals who seek to overturn the constitutional order is not "retaliation" in any normatively significant sense.

This is something I keep being reminded of. Mango Mussolini might have immunity, but anyone beneath him doesn’t … until he pardons them.

NEWS: This is a 2-1 decision of a three-judge district court blocking the mid-decade Texas redistricting map as a racial gerrymander. It will (undoubtedly) be appealed, and it goes directly to the Supreme Court.

lmao. reading the opinion on the Texas gerrymander, the court, reasonably, ruled that (a) the Trump admin had sent Texas a letter demanding that it dismantle districts based entirely on their racial makeup; (b) that Texas acknowledged this as their motivation when they did this; (c) this is racist.

Seriously - if any of your social media companies informs you that stuff from your accounts has been turned over in compliance with a federal grand jury subpoena, SHUT THE FUCK UP IMMEDIATELY and stay shut up until you consult an attorney. Who will also tell you to stfu, but professionally.

This is a really strong piece by @mjsdc.bsky.social on how Trump's DOJ really messed up in how they tried to finagle Texas's re-redistricting. And now that measure was put on hold by a federal district court. A mess in Texas!
Trump appointed Harmeet Dhillon to the Justice Department so she could own the libs and sue DEI out of existence. But she is a bad lawyer! And her utter incompetence is the main reason why a conservative Trump judge just struck down the racist Texas gerrymander. slate.com/news-and-pol...

Y'all know that websites comply with subpoenas, right?

That's why it's called a court *order*.

And if you think they don't, yeah they do. They often don't have to tell you they've even done so.

Didn't know we'd have to quickly test the limits of Trump v. U.S. on what evidence of official acts might be relied upon by a prosecutor--consistent with the Court's newly-concocted theory of criminal presidential immunity--to prove that the President took a bribe.
Cue the Roberts Court saying that it’s not a bribe if Trump didn’t officially ask for a gold bar in return for dropping tariffs.
"It was tough to beat Apple, but the Swiss did it." said one administration official.

How the Swiss convinced Trump to drop tariffs with gifts of a Rolex desk clock and a 1 kg gold bar.
