Got reminded that I saw Nosferatu (2024) this year and how hyped by so many other people made me so excited to see it.

And then being so disappointed with how awful it was. That my wife, our friend and I rated it a definite C- flick.

I would never by choice watch it again, it was so boring.

It’s really hard to describe to people who are not artists how survival mode does *not* inspire creativity, as the myth would have us believe. It suppresses creativity as you try to limit every possible risk – and the opportunities that come with them.

As much as folks might not want to believe it, artists who sell their work cannot survive exclusively on platforms that cater to primarily other artists. The Circulating The Same Five Dollars™️ model can't feed us or pay bills for long. We need places where we can be seen and discovered.
