Reminder that NOT consuming bad news all the time is literally self-care.

Being online you are constantly bombarded with information shoved in your face.

Remember to take breaks from it, whether it's a couple hours or a couple days. It really helps emotional/empathy fatigue and burn out.

It’s really hard to describe to people who are not artists how survival mode does *not* inspire creativity, as the myth would have us believe. It suppresses creativity as you try to limit every possible risk – and the opportunities that come with them.

As much as folks might not want to believe it, artists who sell their work cannot survive exclusively on platforms that cater to primarily other artists. The Circulating The Same Five Dollars™️ model can't feed us or pay bills for long. We need places where we can be seen and discovered.

We have been struggle mealing a lot lately but I wanna share what we had tonight cause it's one that might sound gross but it was really tasty.

White rice, with a can of turnip greens that I seasoned with chicken bullion, jarlic and onion powder with a drizzle of kewpie mayo.

Now that I am slightly less angst

Our food stamps and welfare got super fucked up a couple months ago now and we've been struggling to keep our kitchen stocked.

We are lower and lower on our non perishables. Eating maybe one meal a day.

Commissions barely even trickle in. And verbs paycheck -
