Vision Zero = Zero Action to address safe active transportation?

At this pace, Kamloops will have Singh bridge before this vision is achieved.

Fun fact: They drive over 80kmh through a nearby 30kmh zone with calming bumps + pass!

“One mile on a bike is a $.42 economic gain to society, one mile driving is a $.20 loss.”

“Which means that Copenhagen, a city of 1.2 million people, saves $357 million a year on health costs because something like 80% of its population commutes by bike.” #CityMakingMath

Some costs aren’t costs.
One mile on a bike is a $.42 economic gain to society, one mile driving is a $.20 loss
Copenhagen, the bicycle-friendliest place on the planet, publishes a biannual Bicycle Account, and buried in its pages is a rather astonishing fact.

There are now fewer days (271) to the next local government elections in BC than the average number of days a pregnancy lasts (280). Anyone wanting a baby by Oct 17 or who is thinking of running should start now. #bcpoli #kamloops

Well over 100 people came to the vigil tonight for Ash Zafar. The community came together to mourn for his horrific end, but also honour & celebrate his life. Anyone who knows anything is urged to share it with the RCMP directly or anonymously. #kamloops
