An embarrassingly weak statement, Mr. President. As someone who benefited immensely from your time in office, I would hope that you would do more. This is barely the strongly-worded letter we expect from Schumer. Get out there and meet with the people and members of Congress. Use your influence.
The killing of Alex Pretti is a heartbreaking tragedy. It should also be a wake-up call to every American, regardless of party, that many of our core values as a nation are increasingly under assault.

I've had multiple conversations with people today who didn't realize ICE has only existed for two decades. They repeatedly asked, "you can't abolish ICE because what would we do about immigration?"
