Writing profile descriptions gives me anxiety.
I’m already overwhelmed.
imagine the freedom of walking into your grocery store, activating the chip flavor combobulator, setting any flavinoid ratios you want, and selecting from a wide variety of primal taste powders to create the perfect chip for you... that's the future we deserve

I’m not sure why people keep posting articles of the New York Times.
"Diorama of power dynamics." Beyond euphemism, that is glib glorification of dictatorship. The #BrokenTimes would rather show off its turn of phrase than call fascism what it is.

Liquid Glass is pretty. It’s neat to scroll things under it. Feels more like a tech demo, though. It’s garish when too much, and completely illegible in many cases.

I can barely tell who I’m sending my daily Octordle to!

Remembering MN house speaker Melissa Hortman, her husband Mark and their beloved dog Gilbert. Murdered in June at their home by a rightwing Trump-voting evangelist, who also shot another MN lawmaker and his wife at THEIR home, 9 and 8 times, respectively (miraculously, they survived).

There needs to be an “angry laugh” option in Bluesky.
Nate Silver: “Andrew Cuomo’s surprise defeat puts him in the driver’s seat for the Democrats’ 2028 presidential nomination”
so are we going to get a parade of news stories about Mamdami being a Presidential contender or is that only for NYC mayors who are incompetent and corrupt shitbags

What if Real World’s Sean Duffy is the most competent member of this administration?
Duffy on the air traffic control system: "The lights are blinking, the sirens are turning ... what you see in Newark is gonna happen in other places across the country."

Good luck, air travelers!

This is my dream. I hate suburbia.
I think this is the first time I've lived walking distance from a grocery store and I'm out of my mind about it. I'll walk there several times a day. Oh did I forget to grab something? No big deal I'll simply Walk To The Store

Could probably strike “about politics”. These dudes are all “right place right time”. We give them way too much credit for being lucky.
really underrated how much these rich guys know jack shit about politics
funny how Jeff Bezos pivoted to " We are going to be writing every day in support and defense of two pillars: personal liberties and free markets" thinking that would be obviously pro-trump

I can’t believe books never followed the movie model and gave you a free download along with the physical book purchase. It’s like they just wanted to give all their profit to Amazon.

I don’t know who this is, but no, if Canada gets invaded by the US, this dude’s apology isn’t going to help much.
I’ll tell you what everybody: If Donald Trump invades Canada, I’ll come here and personally apologize to all the people frothing at me right now. Feel better?

Any time Jesus wants to show up, I’m happy to have him take the wheel. Until then … I get the vibe Josh really just wants to control people in the name of a dude he’s never met?
Introducing a resolution to overturn Obergefell, Michigan state Rep. Josh Schriver says "now is the time to reassert the sovereignty of Christ as our king": "Now is the time to restore the authority of God and submit our will to he who knows what's best."

Now I have to root for Verizon? This is the worst timeline.
As you read about FAA considering canceling a $2.4B Verizon contract to give it to Starlink instead, remember that some estimates of the real "savings" DOGE has gotten so far are in the $2 to $2.6B range.

FAA targeting Verizon contract in favor of Musk’s Starlink, sources say
Turning the $2.4 billion project over to Musk’s company would be a major test of conflict-of-interest rules in government contracting.
