While hiking we saw a flutter and after a while we noticed this beautiful owl watching us from their high perch. As we walked further down the trail we realized it was right next to the trail - a little stressful for us as we walked by, but the owl did not show any stress and we quickly left it to its hunt.

My young campers & I spotted a slithery friend in the water today. After inspection (from a safe distance) we continued our pond exploring. Mr Snake decided to follow us and stay alarmingly close. I decided our retreat was the best choice and we left him to his frog hunt.
