Seeing how much of the right-wing on Twitter is just bot farms, kinda lays bare how much hate and hatred is a project that needs to be constantly maintained, a fire that needs to be fed all the time lest it go out for a moment, so much time, effort, and resources to keep people angry and hateful.

2 ongoing convos are dovetailing rn:
1. a holiday shopping $ blackout aimed at big business;
2. worry over small presses closing or paring down.

Let's talk direct action: YOU CAN DO BOTH😀

IT'S VITAL TO SUPPORT indie pubs that encourage risk & diversity. Here's a 🧵 of em you can support directly:

OK, so apparently what Roger Rabbit's saying here is "I've got to keep my wife in glitter paint!"

I always thought he said "I've got to keep my wife and litter paid!"

Another item I'm looking for: Oscar Schisgall's story "From Nine to Nine", which appeared in the April 9, 1927 issue of 'Detective Story Magazine'. 'Shinseinen' published a Japanese translation in March of 1930, which Yasujiro Ozu adapted into his film 'That Night's Wife'. I want to read the story!

The original French version of 'Eyes Without a Face' is easy to find online, but I haven't had any luck finding the edited, English dubbed version, 'The Horror Chamber of Dr. Faustus'. Not even any copies of the VHS are currently listed on eBay. Can anyone help me find this version, please?

From "Tom Thumb in King Arthur's Court". I almost can't believe this isn't a parody.

"Four O'Clock" is one of the worst 'Twilight Zone' episodes for sure. I misremembered it as being one of the hour-long ones, but no, it just FEELS like it's an hour long. Try to guess how this one ends. Go on, guess.

Update: The word "shit" was used in the PG-rated movie 'The Legend of Ochi', released just this year! Well, Disney, what's stopping you from putting a "shit" or two in your next animated feature, hm?
Have there been any PG-rated movies in which someone says the word "shit" released since 'Akeelah and the Bee' (2006)? The rule for PG-13 is you can use a harsh sexually-derived word once (or, under special circumstances, twice) so you should be able to say a harsh poopally-derived word once in PG!
