I've stayed away from this convo for myriad reasons but I feel the need to address this.
I believe those 4 million votes were lost because they were for Joe Biden and ONLY Joe Biden. When Clooney and the podcast bros knifed him all that did was show the party to be full of white cowards.

You don't lose millions of voters from 2020 to 2024 during the time you're in power, no less - because of suppression. It's a comforting rationalization, but it's not true.
