The only surefire way to stop oligarchs buying up the things we love is to drop those things the moment oligarchs buy them & that requires changing habits and massive self-discipline.
It means going to alternatives that might not be quite as good or convenient.

The Catholics on the Supreme Court need to eliminate Birthright citizenship this year so they can rule on personhood next year. Right now, if a fetus were legally declared a person then any visitors to the US could claim their baby was conceived in the States and deserves citizenship. 2/

Over and over, the NYT amplifies Trump's damaging and cruel propaganda. This was egregious, set in large type and plastered at the top of the website. I fixed it for them, but they should NOT be printing this, ahem, garbage.

Under Trump, yesterday was terrible and today is worse. And tomorrow, there will be more lawlessness, more grift, more innocent people disappeared, more crypto bros rewarded, more violence against women, more hate toward the LGBTQ community, more Russian aggression.
