Free idea: "Money for Nothing, Useless Dicks for Free"

Feel like it more accurately describes how our donations have been used for the past decade or so.
No value, no villain, no vision. Sounds like the tagline for the earnings call of a collapsing appliance retailer

Question for the hive mind...

What traits might companies have, or actions might they take, that positively or negatively impact your decision to give them your business?

(Please share... would love as much input as possible)

Back home after 2.5 days at Disneyland for the holiday... Felt like both an incredibly short and incredibly long trip.

Not sure the checker believed me when I told him the copies of Jonathan Bailey's "Sexiest Man of the Year" issue were for my daughter... he also seemed to get it either way.

I can't quite articulate why, but it annoys me that they just call Ellie Kemper "Kohl's Mom" in those commercials... feel like it's beneath her. Hope she's getting paaaaaaaid.

As a Data Guy, these headlines make my life so much harder. Takes so much time to get folks to understand that AI tools aren't a shortcut around the foundational data work... that, if anything, they can compound the garbage in, garbage out problem.
Last month, @theguardian.com framed this historical event project the same way; minimizing the years of archival work, the interviews etc it took to be able to do this.

Instead ‘AI solved this historical problem!’

This guy certainly made a choice when he decided to wear his "RIP CHARLIE KIRK" t-shirt to Disneyland... the choice to let everyone know he's a dumb twat, but a choice.

Kennedy killed another baby.
A third infant has died in Kentucky, KYDPH adds:

“These are Kentucky’s first pertussis deaths since 2018. None of the infants nor their mothers received the recommended pertussis vaccinations during pregnancy or early infancy.”

Phil Knight is almost single handedly funding the OR GOP, one of the more extreme state GOPs in the country. Keep that in mind next time you’re in the market for sportswear or sneakers. www.oregonlive.com/politics/202...

Starting the downhill part of this long day...

Had to get up at 4am for an early morning flight out, now back at the airport for the late flight back home. If I'm lucky, I'll be back in bed around 1am.
