For the longest time, we were on the edge of the neighborhood and would only get 2-3 kids every year... we moved into the middle of the same neighborhood and now get closer to 75-100!

We love it, especially now that our youngest is old enough to just go out with her friends...

My wife and kids meticulously put together dozens of these cute little bags each year, then I get all the credit as the person handing them out (when I'm not trying to scare the crap outta the older kids).

The US federal attack on Portland has resulted in the best advertisement for a city that I have ever seen. Round-the-clock joy, community solidarity and silliness that much of the West has lost and longs for.

World Naked Bike Ride organizers and other local groups are getting on bikes in the buff to protest the Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in South Portland. The demonstration is planned for Sunday Oct 12 at 2:30 pm; now we know the starting spot is Oregon Convention Center Plaza.

In the early days of the Alt-Right I'd refer to them as the Frog Squad in my newsletter because of how they'd stolen Pepe the Frog cartoons for their memes.

Apparently they've closed it off to new arrivals, no reason given. So we're circling until they either let us land or decide to divert us to another airport.
