Agree - it should have been done already in areas that have public transit. Also concerned about the idea of public transit itself, i.e. the vast majority of the US has little to no public transit to *make* free. Trains + streetcars would be vastly popular if ppl had them, but a hard sell 😭

Of course they were. They have also managed to keep mass transportation out of CA even though the state is huge and the highways are packed due to how crowded the state is. Now they were building a train that goes from near SF maybe to LA? Not sure if it’s still happening.
